Proof of content in food and beverage.

Adulteration, dilution and content that does not match the label cannot be spotted by looking at the packaging; the product itself must be measured.

The current picture

Deeptrace in food and beverage.

In food, a product's value often comes from its content and origin. When a cheaper ingredient is blended in or a key property is reduced, there is little way back once the product has gone into the blend. That is why moving measurement to the start of the chain, to raw material intake and the collection point, is decisive.

Risks

Risks in food and beverage.

Adulteration and dilution

Adding a substance of lesser value or removing the elements that give a key property cannot be seen from the packaging.

Supplier-driven deviation

If incoming raw material does not carry the declared composition, the problem moves into production and onto the brand.

A different product in copied packaging

Low-grade product can be filled into well-known packaging.

Content declarations for export

Buyer markets require content and quality compliance to be documented.

Approach

How Deeptrace approaches it.

Measure the product

Molevex compares composition with the reference; deviation becomes visible at raw material intake and batch release.

Take it to the field

Olivex and Beevex take measurement to the collection point and the moment of purchase for olive oil and honey.

Put the mark inside the product

Edible-grade marking carries the mark inside directly consumed products.

TR

List of imitated or adulterated foods

Under Article 31(6) of Law No. 5996, the name of the company that produced or imported a food confirmed by laboratory results to be imitated or adulterated, along with the product name, brand and batch and/or serial number, is published by the Ministry. Because the announcement is made at batch level, it matters that businesses can tell their own batches apart reliably.

General Food Law Regulation (EC) 178/2002, Article 18

Requires food business operators to be able to identify the supplier they obtained a product from and the businesses they supplied it to, and to label or identify food placed on the market in a way that facilitates traceability. This "one step back, one step forward" principle is the basis of food traceability in the EU market.

EU Agri-Food Fraud Network (FFN)

Since 2013 it has brought together the liaison bodies of the European Commission, the member states, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland to share information and cooperate on cross-border food fraud cases. The network's coordinated actions in areas such as honey, spices and food sold online indicate where the risk lies in these product groups.

FAQ

Questions about food and beverage

Will measurement slow our production flow?

The measurement point is chosen around the flow: raw material intake, batch release or the field. Routine checks in the field return results within minutes.

For which food groups is field measurement possible?

For olive oil and honey, the field kit gives results where you are; for other product groups the method is defined in the technical review.

Can measurement results be used in audits?

Every measurement is recorded with the batch number and supports audit and export files; laboratory results prevail for official certification.

Meeting request

The right method for your product comes from the product itself.

The first meeting reviews your product group, your production flow and the points where verification will take place, and recommends a marking or analysis method.
